- Click “Check again”.
Check before going live
The check looks at inputs, microphones, disk, internet and destinations. It only checks and warns: nothing goes on air by itself. The server test doesn't start the stream. The key is only checked when the video starts going out.
What each warning means
| Warning | What to do |
|---|---|
| no stream key | In Edit, paste the key in the Key field. |
| server address not found | Check the server address. It starts with rtmp://, rtmps:// or srt://. |
| the server did not respond in time | Check the internet and the address. |
| it responded, but it doesn't look like an RTMP server | The address is wrong. Copy it again from the platform. |
| key locked by the system's secure vault | In Destinations, type the key again and save. |
| no destination turned on | Turn on the destination in the list. With no destination on, only recording works. |
Where to find the key
- YouTube: YouTube Studio › Go live › Stream key.
- Facebook: Live video › Streaming software › Key.
- Instagram (on the computer): Create › Live; copy the URL and the key.
If you paste the key in the server field, NWK warns you that it isn't a server address.
Your upload speed
The destination list shows how much upload the streams that are on add up to. Your upload speed needs about 50 % of headroom over that number. If it isn't enough, turn off a destination or lower the quality in Edit.
Which network the destination uses
In Edit, the Network field can be set to Automatic (NWK spreads the streams across the networks) or to a chosen network. In the window, the INTERNET NETWORKS section shows the computer's networks and whether each one is responding.
