Step by step
- On the input thumbnail, click the gear ⚙.
- Under “SOURCE”, click “⟳ Reconnect”.
- If it doesn't come back, check the cable and the USB port and choose the device again in the source list.
How NWK lets you know
When the input has no picture, the thumbnail shows ⟳ with the reason (or waiting for signal) and the gear ⚙ is highlighted. The gear opens the options to reconnect or change the source.
When you change the source, the input keeps its name, settings, mixer and overlays.
Camera permission on Mac
The Mac asks for permission the first time NWK uses a camera. If it was denied, adding the camera shows NWK Live Production does not have permission. Allow it in the system privacy settings (Camera).
- Click Open Settings.
- In System Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera, turn on NWK.
- Go back to NWK and click ⟳ Reconnect on the input.
On Windows, check that camera access is allowed in the Windows privacy settings.
The device doesn't show up
In + Add input, if you see The system does not see any camera or capture card, the computer is not detecting the device. Check the cable, the port and the hub. When you connect it, the device shows up by itself, with no restart. If needed, click ↻ Refresh list.
On the ATEM Mini and ATEM Mini Extreme, use the USB-C webcam port, preferably straight into the computer or a USB 3 hub.
Another program is using the device
If another program is using the camera or the card, close that program and click ⟳ Reconnect on the input.
Check before going live
In ✓ Check before going live, the Inputs group warns you, on the input's line, when it has no picture coming in. See check before going live.
