Step by step
- Click the gear ⚙ next to LIVE and then “+ New destination”.
- Pick “SRT (send to a server)” or “SRT (wait for connection)”.
- Adjust the address in the “Server (URL)” field.
- If the receiver uses a password, type it in the “SRT password” field.
- Click “Save”.
The two ways
| Template | When to use it |
|---|---|
| SRT (send to a server) | You know the address of the receiver. Replace servidor and the port with the real address. If the receiver asks for a stream id, add &streamid=…. |
| SRT (wait for connection) | The receiver connects to this computer, on the port chosen in the address. |
Password
On an SRT destination, the key field becomes SRT password. It is optional. If you use one, it must be 10 to 79 characters long.
Several receivers
In “wait for connection” mode, the card shows how many receivers are connected, for example “on air · 2 receivers”.
Questions
The pre-flight check says SRT is only checked when going live.
That is normal. NWK checks that the address exists, but the SRT connection is only really tested when the stream starts.
