Add a destination (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch…)

Step by step

Click the gear ⚙ next to LIVE.
Click “+ New destination”.
Pick a ready-made template: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitch, Custom (RTMP/RTMPS) or SRT.
Check the name and the “Server (URL)”, which the template fills in for you.
In the “16:9 · Horizontal” box, paste the stream key into the “Key” field.
Click “Save”.

Where to find the key

When you click a template, NWK shows a tip on where the platform keeps the key. For example:

YouTube: YouTube Studio › Go live › Stream key.
Facebook: Live video › Streaming software › Key.
Instagram: on the computer, Create › Live. Copy the URL and the key, because the Instagram server can change.
Twitch: Creator Dashboard › Settings › Stream.

Other platforms

For TikTok, Vimeo, LinkedIn, Restream or your own server, use Custom (RTMP/RTMPS). Paste the server address (it starts with rtmp:// or rtmps://) and the key the platform shows.

See the key you typed

Click the eye 👁 inside the field to show or hide the key. On a destination that is already saved, the eye fetches the saved key.

Your keys are protected

The keys are kept in the system's secure vault and in an encrypted copy that only opens on this computer. That is why they keep working after you update NWK.

Questions

The Save button stays dimmed. What is missing?

Check the “Server (URL)”: it must be a full address, with <code>://</code>, for example <code>rtmp://servidor.exemplo.com/live</code>.

I pasted the key in the server field. Now what?

NWK warns you when the text does not look like a server address. Move the key to the “Key” field and leave only the address in the server field.
