What happens to the recording if the computer shuts down

Recording is done in 1-second blocks: if everything shuts down midway, the file up to that point still plays.

Recording in blocks

NWK records in 1-second blocks. If the computer shuts down or NWK closes midway, the file up to that point still plays. You don't lose the whole event.

Disk almost full

If the disk gets almost full during recording, NWK ends the recording safely. If the disk is already almost full, the recording doesn't start and NWK asks you to free up space.

Check the space first

Use “✓ Check before going live” (in the gear ⚙ next to LIVE). It shows how many GB are free and roughly how much recording time fits. Below 2 hours, a warning appears. Below 15 minutes, it shows as a problem.

Resume recording on its own

In Settings › General › Recovery, you can let NWK resume recording and streaming on its own after a crash. The recording continues in a new file.
