Step by step
- If you want, check the folder and quality first with the gear ⚙ next to RECORD.
- Click RECORD, at the top of the window. The button lights up and the recording time starts counting.
- To stop, click RECORD again.
Where the file goes
Hover over RECORD to see the folder. While recording, the same spot shows the file name. Each recording gets a new file with the date and time in its name, for example NWK 2026-11-07 19-30-00.mp4.
If you don't choose another one, the folder is NWK, inside Movies (on Mac) or Videos (on Windows).
Recording and streaming are separate
You can record without streaming and stream without recording. Ending the stream does not stop the recording.
Start from the settings window
The “Recording · settings” window also has the Start recording (or Stop recording) button.
Questions
The recording doesn't start and “Disk almost full” appears.
Free up disk space or choose a folder on another disk, and try again.
Can I stop the recording from the keyboard?
Yes, with a shortcut. To avoid accidents, it needs two presses within 2 seconds.
