Step by step
- Click ⚙ Settings and open the Audio tab.
- Under AUDIO OUTPUTS, find the row: Master, Output A to Output E or Headphones (monitoring).
- Choose the device from the list.
- If the interface has several channels, choose the stereo pair (for example Channels 3-4 (stereo)) or a mono output.
The list options
- No device: the output plays nowhere.
- System default: uses the sound output chosen on the computer.
- The name of each connected interface or speaker, with its number of channels.
The status dot
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| playing (green) | The output is working. |
| device missing (yellow) | The chosen device is not connected. |
| no device | No device chosen. |
| off · not in mixer | The A–E output is turned off. |
If the interface disconnects
NWK starts using the interface again by itself when it reappears. Meanwhile, the list shows its name as “(disconnected)”.
The Master and the stream
The Master device choice is only for listening. The stream and the recording get the Master either way.
