What is recorded
The RECORD button records Program, with the Master audio. It is exactly what goes on air.
Recording options
| Option | Choices |
|---|---|
| Codec | H.264 (works with everything) or HEVC / H.265 (half the size) |
| Format | MP4 or MOV |
| Resolution | 4K, 1440p, 1080p or 720p |
| Quality | Good · 12 Mbps, High · 20 Mbps (recommended) or Maximum · 40 Mbps |
| Audio | Record with the Master audio and, if you want, also the separate audio as 24-bit WAV, for editing |
While a recording is in progress, changes apply to the next recording.
Find the file
In the recording settings, click Open folder. Hover over RECORD to see the name of the file being recorded.
If something goes wrong
Recording is done in 1-second blocks: if the computer shuts down or the program closes in the middle, the file up to that point still plays. If the disk gets nearly full, the recording is stopped safely.
