What you need
NDI Tools, free, from NDI itself (ndi.video/tools). If it is not installed, NWK tells you on this tab. After installing it, turn on the output.
What goes out on the network
The Program, at the project resolution and frame rate, with the Master audio. It shows up on the network with the name you chose.
Quality
| Option | What for |
|---|---|
| Maximum | Project size and frames. |
| 720p | About half of the network. |
| 720p · half the frames | About a quarter of the network. |
| 540p · half the frames | 100 Mbit network or more than one source. |
NWK shows an estimate of how much network NDI will use and warns you if it may not be enough.
Network tips
- Prefer a gigabit network cable.
- If the computer is also on Wi-Fi, NWK warns you: turn off Wi-Fi while sending, because audio often fails over Wi-Fi.
Send a single input
To send one camera on its own, click NDI on its thumbnail. It shows up on the network as a separate source, with its own audio.
