Edit a template: slots, media, crop and background

Step by step

On the template thumbnail, click ▦ (Edit the template).
Click a slot or a media item on the editing canvas to select it.
In the right panel, choose the input in the table or click Image… or Video….
Drag to move and use the handles to resize.
Click Done.

Choose what appears in each slot

In ready-made templates, the TEMPLATE SLOTS table shows each slot and what it is Showing. Select a slot and choose the input in the table just below, or use 🖼 Image… and 🎞 Video… to bring in a file from the computer. Leave empty clears the slot.

Buttons for the selected media

Button	What it does
▲ Bring forward / ▼ Send backward	Changes the order: what sits on top
Full screen	Fills the whole screen
Center	Puts it in the center
16:9 aspect	Sets the box to 16:9
🗑 Remove	Takes it out of the template

Move, resize and select several

Drag to move. The handles change the size.
The arrow keys nudge by 1 pixel.
Shift + click, or dragging on an empty area, selects several media items.
↶ undoes (Ctrl+Z or ⌘Z) and ↷ redoes.
The canvas zoom is on the − and + buttons, with shortcuts Ctrl − and Ctrl +. Ctrl 0 goes back to 100%.

Crop

Double-click the image or click ✂ Crop. The yellow handles crop, dragging moves the media inside the box and the mouse wheel zooms. Double-click or Esc to finish. Reset crop (full image) undoes the crop. To crop with numbers, open ▸ More options.

Videos: WHEN GOING ON AIR

With a video selected, choose:

▶ Plays automatically: starts together with the other videos when the template goes to PGM.
⏸ Waits for play: stays paused on air until you press play.

Either way, the video control appears below PGM.

Background

In BACKGROUND, click 🖼 Choose image or 🎞 Video. Remove background removes it.

Add more media

In ADD MEDIA, click 📁 From computer… or ＋ Add next to an input in the project.

At the top of the editor, in the Template name field.
