Step by step
- Click + Add input and choose “Template (build a layout with several inputs)”.
- The editor opens with the empty template. Add inputs from the side panel.
- Choose the grid size at the top of the editor and drag the boxes.
- Give the template a name and click Done.
Grid
At the top of the editor, in Grid, choose None or 1 to 5. The higher the number, the finer the grid. With a grid, the boxes stick to the lines. Hold Ctrl (⌘ on Mac) to drop them off the lines. With None, the boxes stay where you drop them.
Snapping
As you drag, the box snaps to the edges and center of the screen and to the edges and centers of the other boxes. As you resize, the editor tells you when two boxes have the same width, the same height or the same size.
Web page inside the template
Click ▸ More options. In WEB PAGE (YOUTUBE CHAT, WEBSITE…), paste the address, choose the size and click Add. The page becomes an input and can also be used on its own.
Save as a preset
In ▸ More options, PRESETS section, type a name and click Save. The preset keeps the background and the position of each element. Use creates a new template and puts in each slot the project input with the same name. Those that don't exist stay empty for you to choose.
