Internet
NWK needs internet to open: it confirms the license every time it opens. The first time, fill in your name, email and mobile number and type the code that arrives by email to start the 7-day free trial. To stream, you need upload bandwidth to spare. The stream settings screen shows the total of the streams that are turned on and reminds you that your upload needs about 50 % more than that.
NDI®
To receive or send NDI®, install NDI Tools, free, from NDI itself (ndi.video/tools). Without it, NWK warns you and shows the Open website button.
How to tell if the computer is keeping up
The footer of the main screen shows the project resolution and rate, the FPS going out, the Lost frames, and CPU and memory (Mem) usage. If the Lost count goes up, the computer is overloaded: close other programs or use fewer inputs at the same time.
Questions
Does NWK run on a Mac with an Intel processor?
No. On Mac, NWK is made for Apple Silicon (M1 or newer).
Does it run on 32-bit Windows?
No. The Windows installer is 64-bit only.
