Step by step
- Click the gear ⚙ on the camera's thumbnail.
- Open the Chroma key tab and click On.
- In Background color to remove, choose the green or blue of your background.
- Adjust Range, Soft edge and Remove spill until the background disappears without eating into the person.
- Use the camera as an overlay or inside a template.
The controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Range | How much of the chosen color disappears. Increase it if background is left over. |
| Soft edge | Softens the outline between the person and the background. |
| Remove spill | Removes the green or blue tint the background casts on the person. |
Why did it turn black?
The removed background shows whatever is behind it. On its own on Program, the input has nothing behind it, and what was removed turns black. Put the camera on as an overlay (buttons 1 to 4 on the thumbnail) or inside a template.
