# Update NWK to a new version

NWK tells you when a new version comes out and you choose when to install it. If you don't like something, you can go back to the previous one.

## Step by step

1. When “New NWK Live Production version” appears, read what's new.
2. When you're off air, click “Update now”, or “Later” to install another day.
3. Wait for the program to close, switch versions and open again (about 1 minute).


## You choose the time
NWK checks for new versions by itself, right after opening and from time to time. Nothing is installed without you clicking. If you are LIVE or RECORDING, the button is grayed out: finish before updating.

After the switch, the program opens again by itself and the session comes back as it was.



## Settings › Updates
In ⚙ Settings › Updates you see the Installed version, check for versions with Check now and see the list of versions, with date and what's new. To install one of them, click Install. Also use this to go back to a previous version if you don't like something.

Only versions signed by NWK are installed.



## Subscription
With your monthly or yearly subscription up to date, you get every new version.
