# Record the Program

One click on the RECORD button records everything that goes out on Program, with the Master audio.

## Step by step

1. If you want, check the folder and quality first with the gear ⚙ next to RECORD.
2. Click RECORD, at the top of the window. The button lights up and the recording time starts counting.
3. To stop, click RECORD again.


## Where the file goes
Hover over RECORD to see the folder. While recording, the same spot shows the file name. Each recording gets a new file with the date and time in its name, for example `NWK 2026-11-07 19-30-00.mp4`.

If you don't choose another one, the folder is NWK, inside Movies (on Mac) or Videos (on Windows).



## Recording and streaming are separate
You can record without streaming and stream without recording. Ending the stream does not stop the recording.



## Start from the settings window
The “Recording · settings” window also has the Start recording (or Stop recording) button.


## Questions

### The recording doesn't start and “Disk almost full” appears.

Free up disk space or choose a folder on another disk, and try again.

### Can I stop the recording from the keyboard?

Yes, with a shortcut. To avoid accidents, it needs two presses within 2 seconds.
