# Also record the vertical version (9:16)

On Mac, NWK can record a second, upright file at the same time, with the vertical crop of the Program.

## Step by step

1. Click the gear ⚙ next to RECORD.
2. Check “Also record the vertical version (9:16), in a second file”.
3. On Program, drag the yellow frame to choose the part of the image that goes to the vertical version.
4. Click RECORD.


## The two files
NWK records the normal file and another with the word “vertical” in its name, in the same folder.



## The crop
The vertical version is an upright crop of the Program, with the transitions and overlays. It is the same crop used for 9:16 streams. See how to adjust it in [Stream vertically](https://nwkglobal.com/help/vertical-streaming/).



## Mac only, for now
On Windows, this option doesn't appear.
