# Organize the console: minimize strips, rows and layouts

Minimize strips, split the console into rows and change the strip width to see many channels at once.

## Minimize a strip
Click the – at the top of the strip. It becomes narrow and shows only the number, the meter, the mute and the name written sideways. To open it again, click ⤢ (in the Advanced mixer, the + or the name).

The ▾ Media button minimizes, or opens, all media strips at once. That way you quickly find your own channels.



## Rows
Under Rows, click 1, 2 or 3. With more than one row, the strips wrap into rows, and if they do not fit, you scroll the console down.



## Strip width
Drag the bar next to 🔍. In the Native mixer, below 60% all strips are minimized, showing only the meters. In the Advanced mixer, double-clicking the bar goes back to 100%.



## Ready-made layouts in the Advanced mixer
Click ▦ Layout and choose:

- Default
- Whole desk (2 rows)
- Many channels (3 rows)
- Large strips
To save your arrangement, click Save my layout. Later, go back to it with Open my layout.



## Strip color in the Advanced mixer
Click the strip name. In the Channel tab, choose a Strip color. The first square goes back to the automatic color.
