# Measure program loudness in LUFS

Check that the volume of what goes on air meets the TV or streaming platform standard, with the Master's loudness meter.

## Step by step

1. On the Master strip, click FX.
2. In the window that opens, read the LOUDNESS row.
3. To start a new measurement, click Reset integrated.


## What LUFS is
LUFS is the unit of loudness, the volume as the ear perceives it. Platforms use this measure to even out the volume of programs.



## The three measures

## Which target to use
- −23 LUFS: TV (EBU R128 standard).
- −14 LUFS: YouTube and streaming.
To reach the target, adjust the Master fader. The Master compressor and limiter help keep the level.



## In the Advanced mixer
The measures are always visible at the top of the mixer: Moment., Short and Integr. (LUFS), with the Reset button.
