# Add the Bible and choose the version

Put verses on screen with the Bible input. The program includes free-to-use versions in five languages and accepts a Bible your church has the right to use.

## Step by step

1. In the lower-left corner, click ＋ Add input.
2. Choose “Bible (verses on screen)…”. The Bible window opens.
3. In the version selector, next to the search fields, choose the version.
4. Find the verse and show it on screen.


## Included versions
All are free to use (public domain or open license). Hover over the selector to see the version's credit.

## Bring in another Bible
Other translations may be copyrighted and require a license. If your church has the right to use one of them, click Import…, next to Search by word. In the Import a Bible window, type the Version name and the Abbreviation shown on screen and click Choose the file….

Accepted formats: Zefania XML or text with lines like `GEN 1:1 In the beginning…`. The imported Bible stays on this computer only.



## Open the Bible again
Click ✎ (Open the Bible) on the input's thumbnail. Choosing Bible again in the Add menu also opens the same window.


## Questions

### Do the NIV or the ARA come with the program?

No. The program only includes free-to-use versions. If your church has a license for another version, import the file with the Import… button.
