## Step by step

1. At the top of the mixer, click ＋ and choose Reverb or Delay.
2. The effect appears in the Effects tab, with its own fader.
3. On a channel strip, click FX and open the Sends (effects) tab.
4. Drag the effect bar to choose how much of this channel goes to it.

## How it works
A send is a copy of the channel sound that goes to the effect. The send is post-fader. The effect return brings back only the effect: the channel's dry sound keeps going to the Master. That way, several channels can use the same reverb.

Double-clicking the send bar sets it to 0 dB or turns it off.

## Adjust the effect
Click FX on the effect strip and open the Effect tab.

- Reverb: Size, Damping, Pre-delay and Width.
- Delay: Time, Feedback, Tone and Ping-pong, which alternates the repeats between left and right.

## In the Advanced mixer
Click the strip's Sends row. Choose the effect from the list, or create one with ＋ New reverb or ＋ New delay. To adjust the levels, click Adjust levels….
